Who is OPSI.

Melbourne Security Guards OPSIOn Point Security & Investigation Pty Ltd (OPSI) opened in 2015 by Brendon Purdom after many years working in the private security industry across many areas of the industry. Director Brendon Purdom has worked in the security industry for over 20 years working in roles from crowd control, corporate security, armed asset protection, school security and event security. Along with wit Close Personal Protection and as a security driver in Qld, NSW and Victoria. Upon moving to Melbourne Brendon returned to the security industry. This is after working in the training sector delivering first aid training here in Australia and PNG. He was employed as the National Security Operations Manager for a major Data Centre company to set up the teams to manage the security requirements of the company.

But before this Brendon served in the Australian Defence Force serving as a soldier in the Army in roles from Rifleman, Intelligence Dutyman and the Army Medical Corps.  During his time in the Army, Brendon recognised that teamwork, leadership and having a common goal is vital for any organisation to grow and be the best it can be. He brings this to OPSI by leading from the front. Working the shifts alone side his team day in and day out. Unlike many other security company owners, he does not put profits before service.

OPSI can deliver licenced, suitably trained and the right guard for the roles as per the client’s requests.  If he believes he can not cover the shift or task correctly OPSI will not accept the job so as not to let down the client and in turn, tarnishes OPSI’s brand as a dependable Security Company in Melbourne.

Yes OPSI does work as a contract security company to a couple of other Security Companies but we employ all our guards on the books, pay awards and full entitlements and DO NOT MASS HIRE in a rush to fill holes in the roster unlike many other “security companies”.

OPSI has been recognised as an Australian Veteran Owned Business. Which is awarded to Australian Companies that are owned and operated by people who have served in the Australian Defence Force.
